Rongali Bihu is celebrated during the month of April. AAD members celebrate this Assamese festival every year. Usual highlights are egg fight, bihu dance competitions, singing competitions and much more.
Assam Association Delhi publishes two important periodicals - The Joga Jog which is a monthly and Samayik is published twice a year. Both the publications have significant readership.
Bhogali Bihu is celebrated zealously by the Assamese community in Delhi. The festival of delicacies, merriment and lighting up of the “Mezi” creates an atmosphere of unity. The festival also marks the annual sports meet organized by the Association.
Annual Games and Sports day gives an opportunity to everyone to participate in traditional games. Children, ladies, elderly persons equally join the sporting events competitions.
Eid Milan another festival which brings everyone together. The occasion is celebrated at Srimanta Sankaradeva Bhawan every year. The Holy Quran is read followed by Qawwali singing.
